DAY 315

This is my good friend Tami...I admire her so much..she won't be happy that she got posted but...she is strong and will deal...if this was the worst thing that she has had to deal with lately she would be happy about that! She didn't want to cooperate and give me just a plain ole posed smile so she gets the "food in the mouth" shot...(hey it's a holiday party so it is allowed!)
Now I have embarrassed her by keeping the camera clicking...
She does have an infectious laugh because she has such a wonderful heart full of love...she doesn't think so but I know so!
Here she is...I love Tami because she is real and her problems are real. She is the kind of person that has such a capacity to love, be empathic, spiritual, and selfless. Tami has had more challenges given to her than is fair for one person..but you would never know it...she loves the Lord and from that she shares that celestial love and joy where ever she goes...Thanks Tami, I hope if I ever grow up that I will be half as good as you...you are a wonderful example for all...

DAY 316

Perry 5th Ward Christmas PartyMeet the King of Bling with the Burger King crown...it was difficult to take ole Doc serious when he refereed to his other King side kick as Hugh Hefner..I guess the purple robe, tall good looks added to that concept...
King Hugh
(ah...hum..is that a diaper on
your head dude?)
Here we have a smiling Mary and Joseph, just traveled many miles, in labor, no place to stay, shunned by many, just gave birth in a dirty stable and still they are smiling....what a great example!
All the primary children sang which always pulls at the heart strings...
But I think Sam's face says it all...I love this kid he has the best expressions...
It was a fun morning and a great way to kick off the holiday season by remembering why we have this season of giving and why we honor our Lord and Savior!
And as Brother Perry said "we got the Ward Christmas party out of the way early! "

DAY 319

Do you ever pay real attention to how we see things in life?...take for example this tree...just looks like your ordinary pine tree...we see so many of them every day.
But if we were take a really good look we may see it a little differently... when we take extra time to look at it, ponder, feel, smell, taste it, really look under all the needles so to speak we might see the tree a little differently the next time.
There are different colors that we can enjoy, different shapes.
Some look rugged, some look smooth, some parts are just interesting.
Sometimes we miss out on the real beauty underneath the tree when we only take a look at it from the outside...
I think this is what the Prophet meant when he said enjoy the journey. Take it all in, look at it from all different angles...take time to enjoy the total experience. In life experiences we need to remember everything is like this tree...there is so much more to it that makes the whole picture or the first impression. Take time...enjoy the journey...
